"If Gaibon is gay...Richter is NOT a Wuss!" Contains violence.
Just like most of CastleVania. Another short FlashyVania animation by Eric Roman. Last Edited and completed May 15, 2002. BONUS!!! "The title of the movie, unabridged, is "If Gaibon is gay...Richter is NOT a wuss!" I just shortened it so it could fit in the slot. Anyway,... Heya, crew. Thanks for having me aboard. I have an NG account under the same name...I made some votes, but I never posted any of my works it. :| Thanks for checking out my 'Blow up SLOGGY!' demo the other day. Today, I've got something with a little more meat in it, one thing my glorified 'test' appetizer was lacking. But first, you'll need a little back story. In 1991, Konami released for Super Nintendo, the extremely awesome game, Super CastleVania IV. Following the Dinosaur Knight labeled 'Slogra' (according to the manual), another of the last masters you battled was a nameless undead Blue Gargoyle Bat, which even to this day, I refer to as such (when speaking about the CV4 version). In 1997, Konami released the outstanding CastleVania: Symphony of the Night (SotN, hereafter) for your PlayStation, and in the making, Konami decided to call back, and in some cases retouch, a number of their previous cast and crew to fill the giant castle of Drac. Slogra made the audition, much to my delight, and so did the gargoyle! But since everything had to be given a name for this issue of CastleVania, Konami of Japan labelled him as "Gaibon" (pronounced "GUY-bahn"). Very well then...I don't have a problem with Konami's naming conventions...odd how the Japanese Slogra is named "Berrigan". So anyway, hit the CastleVania webside in the months that followed SotN's release, and a friend of mine sets off a storm of rumors, all in good fun, of course, about the nature of Gaibon. Yep. You guessed it. He pronounced it wrong... "Gaybon". And so what followed to this day was a storm of mockery against the poor Gargoyle Blue. But with the release of this movie, those rumors might be finally put to rest, and if you're a CastleVania historian like I am, you might actually learn something about Gaibon you didn't realize back in the Super CastleVania daze. So without further enlightenment, please enjoy "...Richter is NOT a wuss!" Have a good one. " No one really had a high opinion of it, and someone had issues because they had no idea who the Blue Gargoyle Bat was, hence the P.S. at the beginning. Most of the audience was also terrorized by the size of the description. |
