DCTP asks...

Ying Girl, "Humor Me!"

''Heck yes!''

It is the dawn of 2008's Summer season as I write this; nearly seven years since I first decided to corral Ying Girl's pieces into a section all her own. Just before this Special Section was set to debut in August 2001, I was hit by a really, really bad computer bug. May the root of my problem have been the Code Red worm of the time? The jury's been out.

Nevertheless, I set to the task of rebuilding, amongst other things, Yingy's shrine in the midst of losing nearly every digital creation since late 1996.
At last, Ying Girl, Humor Me! finally debuted on January 2nd, 2002.

Since that time, I've come across the concept of file recovery and, with dozens of Floppies once thought empty, have been able to restore a decent amount of the Early Years. Sadly, 92% of December 1999 through August 9th, 2001 will remain historic vapor.

As you can see, the original point of my Ying Girl intro has been lost as well. Trying again,...

The Ying Girl Venus Weed is still miffed about my Yuri remark...Since her Tripod days at the turn of the century, Ying Girl has been doing her own thing; incorporating her Sailor Moon-ish, self-named fan character into silly scenarios with CV celebs.
Sailor Moon(-ish) and CV??? I'm there!

If my memory's right, she originally acquainted herself with CV_Otaku and The Castle Bathroom crew, where I first fan afool of her humor. DCTP Memory Cards first mention Ying Girl near the very end of the Summer of 2000; an addition to Humor Me. What that was, however, has long since been forgotten. (Could've been the link to The Date, but it's been eight years...)

In the warm season of 2001, Ying Girl graced us with her first official contribution, and the CV Humor Me hits just kept coming...that is, until the competitive cooking shows took her stage by storm in 2002. Yingy had come through with so much gusto after her first hit, I let her join the great Johnny Norris in having a section all her own, and here we have it.

Ying Girl's past playgrounds included Project ACUO, CastleVania: Sailor Senshi in the Moonlight, and Peace Loving Hippies Eating Ice Cream. Currently, you can find Yingy doing her thing at There Goes the Neighborhood! Check 'em all out.

2000

01.The Date- This is the first comic of hers I was blessed to see at the top of 2000. After Johnny Norris seemed to have refined the sport, Ying Girl first comes out with this hilarious and impressive comic, done in a similar fashion, about Ying Girl's first date. You'll laugh! You'll laugh some more! You'll be shocked at what they do to the Blue Bat! (Note: This link heads to a file on Ying Girl's domain. To return, just hit whichever button on your computer corresponds to BACK so you won't get lost.)

02. Say WHAT?!!! - This leads to Ying Girl's ENORMOUS collection of silly SotN screensnaps and amusing CV pictures.

A Humoritten piece! 03.CastleVania: America's Most Wanted- A very special, very hilarious episode of America's Most Wanted. Starring Adam Walsh, Ying Girl, CV baddies, and the entire Belmont family (as of DreamCastleVania). Written by Ying Girl with Pumpkin Jr.

A Humoritten piece! 04. The Peanut- Following a Peanut-off with Alucard, Ying Girl and Pumpkin Jr. partake in the action-packed conclusion to CastleVania: Symphony of the Night...and pretty much change the course of history!

2001

05. A Last Fight- This one's cute. Richter, Ying Girl and Slogra are playing in the land of Final Fantasy 7 when out of the blue, everyone's favorite FF7 baddie, Seph, shows up. By Yinggirl!

06. An Interesting Love Triangle: REMIX!!!- Remember Twigs' The End? Ying Girl has composed a MASTERFUL remix updated with SotN graphics! Let me confide in you this. What the knockout for me in the original was Trevor's drop-jawed expression. Upon further study recently, I noticed that Sypha wasn't merely spreading her arms out to take Trev into them...she was showing off something. A pair of something. Not long after, I get this picture from Ying Girl; a salute HAS to be given to her for paying attention to detail and translating the subtlety over to the remix.

07. Sailor Alucard- Gwaa ha ha ha ha haaaa...a truly evil sprite edit of Ying Girl''s doing...I TOLD YOU THERE WAS A REASON FOR THE MOON ROD IN SYMPHONY! Now fear this! TAKE THAT, SotN ALUCARD FANS! Gwa ha ha ha haaaa. Nah, just kidding. You know I love you. ^_^

08. Just click the link.- Why didn't I think of this? Heh. AND the new one's due out on July 18th?! By Ying Girl!

09. CircleVania Alternate Ending 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
Ying Girl's BANOODLES comic based off the 'Alternate Ending' to CircleVania! Watch out, though, in case you haven't played the game, you're gonna see Drac's final (albeit unimpressive) form. Very funny and well done, overall. Cool tie-in ending.

10. Birthday BASH! 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5
What exactly can I say about this that I haven't said for the 192+ that have come before it? Until I find some new words, I'll have to repeat myself on some terms. This comic is absolutely hilarious! It's one of the most awesome Humor picz I've had the pleasure of hosting. Just take a readthrough and you'll begin to see why. It's Ying Girl's birthday, but no one's giving her the attention she deserves! Then all of the sudden, out of the pink, the Demon appears... You won't believe how it ends! Happy Birthday, Ying Girl!

11. Ying Girl vs. Dracula 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7
This is the reason why I decided to compile all her works into Ying Girl, "Humor Me". Check out the sumpteenth consecutive comical extravaganza by Ying Girl!

12.Treet Fighter- This cool comic proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that CastleVania can make Street Fighter its b!tch any day of the millenium.

13. The Al's Balls Joke- The reason why I personally like this one is that it was made in response to Great Balls A'Fire! In this comic, with the help of Alucard and Sypha, stars of the comic in question, Ying Girl attempts to decipher the ancient mystery behind the vague body language of Alucard which caused his a$$ to get fried.

2002

14. Goodbye to CastleVania 1 - 2 - 3
Ever since September 2001's World Trade's Affair coupled with The Virus Incident one month prior, we had been seeing even less and less of the pixel-skilled CastleVania WorldWide humorist Ying Girl. This comic attempts to explain the actual reason why we haven't seen hide nor tail of the formidable Ying-Yang-Yigallah as of late.

15. Coming Soon... 1 - 2 - 3
I'm sure there are a few of you out there who are fans of Iron Chef, the notoriously entertaining cooking show responsible for stealing Ying Girl away into the night. Check out Ying Girl's trailer to what looks to be the most spectacular Slogra-featuring cook's duel New York City has ever known!

16. Ying Girl vs Dracula 2 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6
This looks to be Ying Girl's last submission for a while... Dracula discovers the reason behind Ying Girl's disappearance from The CastleVania WorldWide: that popular cooking show. Count on Dracula to throw down a challenge in his newest form, and it's a Dracula Battle Barely Predicatble!
"Jimmyyyyyyy!!! Watch the mushrooooms!!!"

You play too much. Back to Humoring yourself.
