(The graphic'd newsbytes.)
Almost 2 months since this poorly-presented
chain of newsbytes began, it was beginning to overtake the Title Screen,
its original home, so on October 3rd, I had decided to move it here.
Please scroll below for the latest news.
NYC: 911
(added to top, 9-11-2001)

Welcome to Planet CastleVania...
...the new home of Dracula's
Curse: The Page!
Well, I'm still rebuilding after the virus incident, so it'll
be a while until I'm back on my feet with sizeable updates.
Many big-ups to Garrett Rudkin
for the move! ^_^

How are those new menu options above and below looking? Pretty?
You'll notice the new sections: LEVELS OF TERROR, JAPANESE,
EMU, and ARCHIVE.
Neither of these links work, as I haven't written any of these sections
yet.
Some things to look forward too, hm? I've already compiled a list of differences
between the
Japanese and American versions of CastleVania III, so JAPANESE is off
to a good offline start.
<---Japanese
enemy, Ghoul Rabbit!
Marvel at the marvelous structuring of Cast, then
hit Allies
for new descriptions of Trevor, Grant, and Alucard. Sypha is next.
DOPPELGANGER has been added to the Hall
of Blame, which will has been
re-renamed XZIBITS. I have the Hall of Blame option made, too.
You think I should keep it named as Hall of Blame?
I'm still accepting entries into the Venus Weed
Extravaganza, you know. ^_^
In other news, and as you've already seen, I've been capturing TONS of
CV3 sprites
by using Sypha's Ice Crystals and replacing colors, so see them out and
about in due time.
This also means I've captured ALL (but the generation frames)
of the Skull Knight!
For the latest DCTP scoops,
check out DCTMB!
(I apologize for the random
sprite throwing. I don't know
WHAT to do to make this temporary news spot interesting...)

Holy Jeezis Mice.
DCTP got 167 visits on the 25th, up from 77 the previous day.
That's some boffo record! Thank you!
In a greatly trimmed MISCMIX, I've added a
link to a new subsection,
COMING WHEN?! which explains a few new MISCMIX
features I'm working on
for the future. All of those listed, I hope to get done one of these days.
OPENING has been tidied up with relevant pictures
added all over.
That section still needs to be revised. I will get to it soon, I so hope.
And as you can see above: intact Phantom Bat sprites!
I got the whole set of him, and his little permutations as well.

Happy 16th B-Day to Jason yesterday,
and happy 21st B-Day to me, today.
Sorry guys, no new CVIII sprites this time around. Been doing this...
Miscmix is looking absolutely brilliant with
its new layout, and the
sections Journal and Dinosaur Time have been changed for
the better.
Especially Journal. Have I mentioned the subdivision of the 2001
Groovy-Type Stuff?
Just hit the 2001 link in the Groovy-Type Stuff section. ALT tags
rule.
Also, check out the new, potentially dangerous and extremely irrelevant
Miscmix feature,
a new HTML comic by the title of ANTI-MELON: CHOCHO'S SCARY ADVENTURE!!!
Work definitely continues on: Humor Me, Humoritten, Ying Girl Humor
Me, Archive,
Sakura Taisen 3, Bishoujo, and a painful batch of other upcoming sectors.
-_-
College begins quite soon...you know the deal
from here on in. Need I repeat it for the 4th time?
As usual, visit DCTMB
for further DCTP scoops from yours truly.
Thanks for stopping by again, guys.

Slap me down and call me a Neo Geo Newbie Fan!!!
Twinkle Star Sprites! Waku Waku 7! Blazing Star! Metal Slug!
College's been on since my first day, September 11, so aside from newly
available
sprites above, nothing noticable has been done to DCTP, when in reality
all site
background tags were rerouted to the background directory for easier
access during my own work. Using Frozen Crystals-captured frames I made
of it,
Vic Rattlehead helped produce this animated GIF of the quite awesome,
quite
Satanic Akumajou Densetsu Leviathan, which you see here flapping away.
New Double Trouble, Triple Threat, 1UP, Leg of Werewolf, and Mystic Whip
sprites, along with
a few others, have been added across Allies,
and each of the Bonus notes have had
their tables readjusted . Yes, I'm aware that I must still write for Sypha
Belnades.
A couple of Humor pictures were added. All those
additions still lack definitions. Sorry.
A few new choices were 'maid' in Miscmix's Anti-Melon:
Chocho's Scary Adventure.
Do the new text and link colors in Miscmix
look better than they did before?
Couple'a fun new Links here and there, in CastleVania,
Assorted, and Rising Sun.
You of course know about how the world is now F'd
up because some planes crashed
into some buildings, so yeah... I really need to go thru that thing
and revise it somethin' fierce.
Finally, by request, just about all the sprites on these upfront newsbytes
have those cute ALT tags I hear you guys just love to play with.
Anything else, e-mail me, or see
you @ DCTMB.
Peace.

Fresh from the barber shop, and lucky with the Digicam I got for my birthday,
a couple of recent photos of I were added to Epitaph,
along with that 'sprite'
of me I just had lying around. I plan to elaborate on that section.
P.S. I read thru the Bloodlust of the Countess comic again, today.
Pretty cool. I wonder what that Mike Erickson
chap is up to these days...

Tell you the truth, I really don't like linking
to posts, but please read
this
important-type announcement...part of which you've already figured
out.
Fixed up both THE MAN Lists in Miscmix.
October 2, 2001
2 noo annie-jiffs 4 yoo. Frank's cool, and the Zombie's
elementary. I've been meaning to do one of that giant for a while.
With a sound card replacement,
all is finally at peace with the computer.
Of course, it now has 5 years less work on it, but still...
("NOOOO, not BUT STILL anything! It's gone! Shot!
My digital legacy has been maimed forevermore!!!!!")
Bwee! Jason's much awaited
Machine of Power hath arrived today!
It replaces his early 1996 technological apex about 12 times over, or
something like that.
On a related note of happy, ordered 9-9-2001, my Elysion
art book has come
in from Japan, so come tomorrow I'll be quite the camper of Camp Happy.
Maybe I'll even be able to see the Sakura Wars 3 DVD clip for the first
time since the
Virus Incident brought me to my knees and to the gates of a terrible summer's
end in early August!
(provided Jay's new CPU's DVD doesn't recognize regional
codes as mine once did before installing Power DVD >=\ )
Note, while I did say that Jason's machine of supremacy is here, which
enables him
to do everything he did on his old computer, and everything he didn't,
I never
mentioned Berrigan's Chambers, his superdelayed Slogra site...
I still can't figure out why Jason's dumping on As Told by Ginger.
That one
summer camp episode was pretty cool. Man, I miss Salute Your Shorts.
|
Finally, take a look at this, one of
my multitudes of characters I never made any NES nor CV site readers
aware of...
Her name is Mariko 'Berry', and she
is a young Japanese female fox living quite affluently in a big
city; the name, backstory and details of which I'll disclose in
a future Miscmix gallery.
Do you think I should make her DCTP's
mascot? Mail me, or leave responses
@ DCTMB.
Peace.

Well, now that it's isolated,
I can do pretty much anything I want with this pictured news section.
Yeah, I know it's a horrible setup, but I apologize even to myself, for
I still have the 2 months I have to explain when things got bleak, between
Early August and yesterday.
The nightmare truly ended yesterday,
you see, because no sooner than I updated did The Caliban, good college
friend, unsung physical manifestation of my most evil side, and guy who
suggested River Styx to be included in Slogra's First Date, IM'ed me about
some information regarding...DVD regional code switching. Well, I did
some research, and after a 'do-or-destroy me again' Flashdownload procedure
which turned out to be as successful as a date with a courtesan, my jammy's
code free. Bite it, hindrances!
This is a big deal because for
those in the know, I had fallen in love with a spectacular Japanese DVD
clip of Sakura Wars 3's opening (SW3 is Sega Dreamcast's most potent import), which includes some in-game footage. The day
after I had attained the ability to take screensnaps from the movie,
everything sank into the 10th level of Hell in what would be referred to as 'The Virus Incident'. Or anything else dramatic and snappy I might come up with down the line.
But now, all problems have been solved, it seems, and I'll have more material for the Sakura Wars 3 Miscmix feature, Paris is Burning!. Enjoy these Sakura Wars 3
screensnaps!
Poor Erica Fountaine...she was almost hit by a car, but she used an Item Crush of some type to destroy that and just about everything else on the street within a 20 foot radius.
This character is from Alucard's hometown!
Hanabi! Watch it, she's a real sharpshooter with a bow and arrow.
YOU DON'T F WITH ERICA FOUNTIANE!!!
Iiii...liiike...Fraaance...
You can't have a game that takes place in France without having someone there to clean the place up, can you?
Kawaii Meido! The adorable Ci and mature Mell.
Just when you thought it was fashionable to abandon Zero Wing's stupidity...CATS!!!
P.S. CastleVania Chronicle is
coming within the week. Buy it!
10-7-2001
Added Dracula's
cool CV Patriots to the Title Screen. In Miscmix,
the NYC:911 option has been added, and Groovy-Type Stuff's
seen a graphcal flood of fresh new images, like good ol' Oroborous up
there.
