November 5/6
Ah, right...through all of yesterday's Contemporary World musings I neglected to mention my point: the future of DYNAKYRIS. I'm pretty sure this would happen to be my second mention of an overhaul, but it's been nearly a decade since and so much has changed.
When I continue converting Flash moments into digital video, I'll also be gathering some animations I made as a kid, from stop-motion to cutout, thereby making DYNAKYRIS not just a Flash Animation website, but an Animation website.
I've been drawn to this medium since my memories began to stick; around the time Voltron debuted. I'm interested in returning to this direction and am looking forward to what my current level of abilities will reveal. This is my intent for DYNAKYRIS going forward: to become my animation showcase. How will it be presented? Strip the whole thing down? Scrap and rebuild? Keep its present form accessible for fellow Time Travelers? Perhaps...
Uncertainty can be freeing.
November 4
I learned today it's been nearly ten years since I last put effort towards this website or any of 'em, for that matter. Where has the time gone? I have an idea; I've always marked and measured it in my own ways and as Windows 95 helped turn everyone into "computer nerds" so have the contemporary tools of smartphones and Corporate Social Media empowered the masses to trace its histories, for better and worse. But I digress.
A lifetime ago Steve Jobs declared the death of Flash with the introduction of the iPhone. In time Adobe, whom by this point had made Macromedia Flash theirs was like, "Yeah. Die." Then Google was like, "lol we'll help!" Thus, shortly from now Flash support will be scuttled across the board, meaning...well, I'm not totally sure, I haven't been keeping up with the paradigm shift as much as "I should", I'm merely keeping up with making my own mark and in the coming months continuing to convert my Flash pieces to mobile-friendly video formats will be part of that.
EricTJRoman.com debuted when...at some point in 2017 (ironic, I should have that date handy, but this screed is all off the cuff and I MUST remember to not touch the screen, I'm not writing on an iPad...) and has sat quietly since waiting for the moment I give its due attention.
So here I am, at least, beginning to continue to do for myself what SM's offerings have practically automated for everyone else.
Updates? Oh. Yeah, so I looked at a couple Flash viewer pages and wondered why the wide checkbox pattern had always been that particular fade of salmon. Then I looked into the behind-the-scenes files to find an FLA (Created and Modified 8-11-2009) of a pinkscale chibi DYNAKYRIS:
She sported colors from the icon of my Computer Animation pencilbox of choice, Flash 5. Apparently I was onto something for a sec before the Life and Times carried on... Anyway, that checkbox pattern was related to an improved presentation scheme I never carried out and when I saw how off it looked today, I decided to dial the fade down, so it's redder now.
What's it matter? After letting things sit for so long...I did something. I sat down, got focused, and did my work within my own domain for once.
...and that's about it for now. It has been four decades since my story began, the world is handling an Extinction Level Event (and just the other day Bustah Rhymes released part 2 of the aforementioned album I'd been referring to the blight of COVID-19 as), and pretty soon the Internet Meme That Went Too Far will mark its last days as a World "Leader", if the proper numbers add up (and as I edit this in New York City at 9:37PM it looks pretty good).
In the meanwhile, I will continue making my mark, one way or another. I'm not back; I simply didn't go anywhere for a while. Not anywhere in this direction, at least...

Having never expanded beyond its scant listings since its inception six
Junes ago, the ANIMATED DRAWINGS section has been dissolved and
its contents relocated. ...on the way... can now be found with 2003's other ANIMATIONs;
Bloody Menu (early version) is relisted as a 2003 BETA'NIMATION;
the rest (Slog sees you..., Slogaibon, Slogra stabs,
Olrox, BONEZ977, BRIT, and the other Gunblastar)
can be found amongst the 2003 and 04 strata of the JUNKYARD.

August 11, 20IX: The last time I was actively working on DYNAKYRIS,
the Sun had just begun to set The August Way. I had just begun work on
a new presentation scheme to cheer up the dark gloom of the previous six
summers...
While collecting logos
for the site's new ANIMATION rundown, I discovered that ZELFMOORD
][ was in the process of being fixed before my return to New York
from California. (I must've been so involved with settling back in that
I'd forgotten.) Despite each Sound cue in the movie having been set to
Stream, ZELFMOORD ][ had always run with a bit of a syncing issue.
What bugged me the most, though, was how the title appeared with filled-in
Os; an occasional issue with the way Flash 5 renders some fonts (see ParoVadius
2002 for further evidence). As attested by the SWF left behind
last summer, I had apparently solved the issue...however, since the Buttons
hadn't been completely updated yet, I returned for the finishing touches
over the weekend. Unfortunately, the following exports of the movie saw
the return of the solid Os. Once again, I puzzled over this problem; as
Life would have it, the cure had been long forgotten. I let it be until
I finally figured it out earlier today: simply Publish it through a later
version of Flash.
Thus, ZELFMOORD
][, repaired once and for all, is now being shown the way everything
else under ANIMATION eventually will be.
By the way, I came
across Raze's site
not too long ago and its gears appear to have switched for the better.
Has
Razoric returned? In any case, it's nice to see some recent happenings...
March 5
Although CastleVania: S.A.D. and dVP have finally been completed,
it'll be a minute until they join the ANIMATION rundown. Until
then, at least, dVP's finished form (same show, solid Front and Back)
can be caught at NG
and DA.

only year without a written update, due to various circumstances...

October 10
The original CREDITS sequence for ParoVadius
RESET has been added
to its listing in the ANIMATION rundown. Frame count issues revealed
near its completion lead to the reduction of the closing credits from
an intentionally-designed scroll to a click-through slideshow which, I
noticed, most viewers never clicked through.
October 6
For the convenience of those who want to get the immediate flavor of DYNAKYRIS'
style and skill, BEST OF has been arranged and tacked onto the
sidemenu. I've actually had this feature in mind long ago; it just hadn't
been arranged until recently.
September 28
#2 One of THOSE Days... is now more
cruel than ever. That poor bum...
For some reason, I had listed 2-6-2003 as its completion date; a day later,
which the SWF obviously contests. That date was actually the day
of its relative NG
success the day after its completion.
September 28 NEVER GIVE UP has been slightly revised;
the Credits return to the Title Screen. Skipping the /DYNA
tag at the re-loop (which is really meant to be seen just once), this
section flows better.
September 24
Based on the idea that I've treated lesser
as exemplary, I decided over the summer that (the colored version of)
Di Gi Crap should be elevated from the JUNKYARD
and treated as the nicely done ANIMATION it
is.
As soon as its frontend and tailend are sharpened up, dVP
will follow. One of THOSE Days has also seen revision over the past
season, but as above, is yet to be ready.
April 19
To pass the time the other night, I went through AfterParo
and learned that the VISIT->DYNAKYRIS
button at THE END screen still pointed to the long-left location of DYNA
yore, http://www.clockworkmansion.com/ericroman/detc/
It's funny how this small yet significant detail managed to slip by my
eyes during the numerous weeks of scrutinizing everything else!
April 7
The 2008 revision of After ParoVadius
is complete. Among the abundance of changes:
- repair of the navigation (STUFF!!! leads to Front End and not THE END)
- addition of space junk (& sight gags)
- SKETCHBOOK replaced by an expanded MAKING OF
- addition of the SCRIPT; it was supposed to be included the first time
around
- a slew of cosmetic improvements
Volume spikes in the dialogue that lead to occasional blowouts have been
eliminated as well. If I missed something on that front, just
let me know.
Comparisions can be made between the Ape '08 revision and the Sep '04
original by following a link of its recently confirmed completion date;
no longer [9-13?-2004], but September 11, 2004. Does this make the release
version a BETA? In a way, but aside from relocating the
older .SWF, I won't relegate it to those listings.
The same will be said and done for FREE PREVIEW.
March 2
An interesting problem presented itself during today's revision of After
ParoVadius:
What is the meaning
of this? As you can see, the sprites involved are all PNGs, but
what's the cause of that Box Nightmare of old times? Opaque,
even! I consult the menus above to learn that View had been set to Antialias
Text. I switch it to Fast and the box disappears. Was this phenomenon
present in the original, too? I hit it and hit Hi-qual at Pure's demise...
Nothing. I publish today's version and do the same...
Well, crap! Shows up there, too,
but ONLY when the shot's viewed at Hi-qual. Well, I guess I couldn't blame
it...there are 16 of the same PNG overlapping for the
first five frames of the effect. Unless I bothered to render out an ani-GIF
of it seperately and Import that, there's really no helping it. Nor a
need to. ActionScript's doing its job.
February 21
The transparent color boxes that have occasionally plagued Fwoopy!
since 2004 are now history. I hope.
During the previous week, just before the fix, the other two animations
from that year had been undergoing slight cosmetic and structural revisions
(.FLA-side for the latter).
No set republishing date for either of 'em.
February 18
Check out the BETAnimations for the unfinished
greeting card for those who get frustrated about 2|14, Happy S.A.D!,
the stifled sequel of silliness, bts2 (working title),
the animatic for GO AHEAD., and, best-for-last, an early,
proofread version of my Macross/Gradius love letter,
Parodius: Shadow Viper Team.
It's been a minute since I last presented stripped-down pieces like these,
hasn't it?

September 20
Dropped the Dinobird button, (over the summer) prettier images augment(ed)
the GROUNDWORK sections, and BEFORE
THUNDER STRIKES and Larry Rocks
have been added to the JUNKpile.
May 27
Sure, it's a little overdue, but since nobody ever mentioned it, I figured
they didn't mind the problem. ParoVadius, as well as many other (raster-based) animations
from 2002, did not age well at the advent of Flash Player 6 and its permutations.
Download Flash Player 5.exe to remedy the
following issue with everything onsite that predates the September/October
2002 standardization of the PNG format for (pick one: raster, bitmap,
sprite) images:
We're talking GIF transparency
issues, folks. Real big, nasty issues that bring forth picture windows
filled by transparent, flamboyant, irrelevant colors and colorful boxes
around most moving sprites.
Much better.
Also, it looks like
Europe is getting a kick out of the FunkFrank
looper. Cool!
April 15 Shortly after the completion of Digimon VS Pokemon's
coloring, I started doing the same with Di
Gi CRAP, wrapping it up a short time ago.
April 8 Yesterday and this morning, I found some time to finish coloring
Digimon VS Pokemon. Next time I find
time to work on that file, it'll have a frontend, backend, and the title,
dVP. Maybe even a Preloader!
Ror.
February 27 At this rate, I'm not even sure it's worth noting that DYNAKYRIS
has zero affiliates. B-Man's Icecrew appears to have gone under, ditto
Yoshi's 1UP Island.
November 16 Had it in me this morning to add in a few extra keys to King
Ceaser before breakfast. I know the name is misspelled, I'm a Latin
class veteran.
Now for some toast & Ovaltine.
November 15
Some of the eyetoys I've thrown together throughout the year, along with
an abandoned piece of raster animation, have been added to the JUNKpile.
Check out King Ceaser, Touchpad
Trial #1, Pushups, and FunkFrank.
October 8
Woh! Thanks to the 11000th access!
October 1
Improved the sound performance in an
appointment, so it's tighter than its original release. I dropped
that cheesy clip of the chicks going wild, since it's pretty obvious that
what's going down at that point would receive an according reaction.
September 6
HOMAGE renamed to GIFTS. Revised its summary,
as well.
August 22
Visual modifications to PAYBACK TIME!
completed; Slogra and Gaibon hit twice as hard, sparks fly, fruit's final
breaths fly aflame, and Slogra learns a new move.
RESPECT GAIBON.
I've run lots of my
recent work through Flash 8's compressing routine, and the results are
mixed. With ParoVadius RESET, I
kiss my sound timing goodBYE. On the other hand, with
BACK OFF., the background photo
doesn't seem to tax the system as much as an F5 export, and on the whole
runs better. I've made it a habit of running a brief report on each completed
animation since NEVER GIVE UP. Check
it out:
6:20 PM 8/2/2006
Passed through the Flash 8 export, NGU runs smoother on
high-Break Apart moments like Commercial Break, but at that
point had already broken synchronization by at least a frame
or two.
File size, however, is 5,924,502 bytes, as opposed to 6,728,346
bytes when published through F5.
I've gotten favorable
results with PAYBACK TIME!, probably due to its overall brevity.
While all but one of the animations on DYNAKYRIS
was created with Flash 5, after 2004 most were exported with either MX
or 8, for compression, and won't run on older machines.
This matters to me,
because after the (2001~2006) Machine of Power's motherboard bit the bullet
in July, I've resorted to moving my nary-used Gateway 2000 P5-133 back
to my room, from storage in another. As expected of an aged, gently cared-for
system, it still runs as well as it did when it first powered up on September
12th, 1996.
The sound that buzzes out of the Sound Blaster 16 MIDI card remains priceless.
I wonder if there're any programs out there that emulate the charming
dizzes of old sound cards...
August 14
Made a list of seven things I can do to improve PAYBACK TIME!
Gave HackoVadius its details, as I had mistakenly uploaded
junk.html on the 30th when it still had no description.
As of July 27th, ParoVadius
RESET has officially
been unleashed to the WorldWide. I've been having endless problems submitting
the animation to UGOPlayer with its Database Errors, but as far as the
TxM and NG-sides
go, it's all good. It's even been featured on the frontsides of both,
and that's very cool.
Big Up to everyone
who's supported it thus far. It's a Konami love movement...
On this 20th Anniversary of CastleVania, let it spread
far and wide.
August 8
Another former resident of The Shelf is proudly presented. Witness Slogra
and Gaibon as they save us all from a certain dancing fruit in PAYBACK
TIME!
August 3
What is probably my greatest and most complicated piece of work ever has
been at last completed. This project, in the works for nearly four years,
serves as a presentation of all I have learned since returning to Flash
in early October of 2001. In addition, this Flash Reel sets out to inspire
the new generation of Flash artists who have a hard time starting out,
as did I in the Fall of 2000. NEVER GIVE
UP.
July 29
I've been really digging the .HES soundtrack for PalSoft & Quest's
1991 PC Engine game Magical Chase. Unfortunately, try
as I may, the game itself is surprisingly impossible. Commercial Break has been completed
and added to the list of finished ANIMATION;
this section known formerly as MOVIES,
FINISHED, and FIN'D SWF.
BETA SWF is now known as BETA'NIMATION.
At this point it's safe to assume it a good thing that I never got around
to finishing the raster-graphic Flash menu, what with all these menu changes
as of late.
Considering a new format for the animation rundown, wherein you click
its logo, rather than its link, to view the piece with full commentary
beneath it.
As I took another look
at the current rundown of animations, I realized something.
Six releases in one yearain't bad. Ain't bad at all.
July
25 #2
Holy cow, never-before-seen ARTWORKs for ParoVadius,CastleVania FUTURE, and ParoVadius RESET
have been added to the GROUNDWORK.
July 25
To the tunes of Parodius PC Engine music, anchors were added to the ARTWORK
and STORYBOARD sections for more convenient
navigation.
July 20 Came up with a more fitting name for the ParoVadius RESET trailer
and made all the necessary adjustments. It is now known as ParoVadius
pRESET.
July 19 The ParoVadius RESET Trailer
has been completed and added to the FINISHED
section. It is scheduled to be released outside of DYNAKYRIS
tomorrow at Noon, Eastern Standard Time. I wish I had come up with a more
clever name than "Trailer"; a name that made it a little less
obvious.
That's not the only
reason why I feel weird about RESET's trailer as a recent addition. First
off, it is a trailer, and second, ParoVadius RESET was released last
July.
July 15 Wrapped up and added an appointment
to the rundown of completions.
The BETA section now follows the listing conventions
of the FINISHED section.
July 11 BACK OFF. has been added to
the rundown of finished animations.
June 3 Messing around with the format again. Not sure of how it'll go. No
plan.
Damn! I thought my affiliateswould've informed me that they'd cut me off before I'd
learn on my own. Egh, who cares.
April 16 M'man GEENTAYL goes WORLD WIDE with Room
149.org. Check it out for some interesting articles, absolutely insane
Freestyle Typings, and the lost Slog'sterpiece, Berrigan's Chambers. Room
149 also mirrors a few Radio Shows, the most recent of which I just put
up a short while ago.
Skull Knight "MISSED!"
was an interesting introduction. I've always liked post-5 Flash's ability
to compress movies, but that's all the use I had for them. When it came
to moviemaking, I was totally lost, and anything I'd need to do, I could
do in 5. From start to finish, ParoVadius
RESET was executed in 5.
A paradigm shift may
occur if I find I really REALLY need 8 to make something work, such as
a very foggy, out of focus, noir-y animation. On the other hand, ParoVadius
2002 is basically how I learned Flash 5; perhaps XxxxXxxxxx XXXXXXXX
will be how I'll learn 8.
February 27 Welcome to the new home of DYNAKYRIS;
welcome to www.TerribleHands.com
::cue Jurassic Park theme:: ...now, where did my Graphire2 pen go...?
Anyway, thanks to Yosh-Matt,
I've figured out how to open Frash in its own rightfully-sized pop window,
so look for that HTML convertin' to go on later in the Cenozoic Era. Go
& show him some love at 1UP
Island, bicchiz.
Oh, there it is.
February 19#3 Following a tedious volume adjustment process, the January 31, 2006
Dynakyris Digital Radio Show has been uploaded.
February 19#2 There's something I forgot to mention. The role of Princess Meloura
in ParoVadius RESET has been reopened,
so if you can help fill in the blanks, write.
February
19 "Move it, Spunkmeyer, we're rolling!"
A blurry transition.
The long-standing site
jumpoff once referred to as Sinyaso's
Den has been awaiting the update it this morn received for an unBabsly
long time. All but the CVInteractive icon
will warp you to a the new TerribleHands.com
location for that site. CVI's will take you
to the present InvertedDungeon/ClockworkMansion.com
location, whichever that will be in the coming weeks.
While Terrible
Hands will gesture towards it, I decided not to carry CVInteractive--a
site I redesigned--to the new server, out of respect for its creator,
Scott Helfrich. I do think he would prefer that his legacy remain with
an exclusive family of prestigious CastleVania sites. Nevermind the Fan
Art contributions, I did mainly a redesign job, but truly, CVI
is his joint.
Peace.
February 7 At last, GROUNDWORK has been split into
its three major parts; NEMESIS, ARTWORK, and STORYBOARDS,
though it is the latter section that has been completely fleshed out for
the first time in nearly three years. I'm happy to say that ARTWORK is
receiving similar treatment and will be ready soon, so you have a better
understanding of the original intention of this drawing or that drawing.
Another broadcast is
on the way. It's just a matter of increasing the volume of my voice 400%,
since Jason's, via speakerphone, came out much clearer.
The MAIN
opener has also been changed to reflect my feeling of what this site has
truly become.
At
this point, I believe everything has been covered. Any additions from
now on should be completely new. Mission accomplished.
Hm,
I'm somehow reminded of something I've wanted to do for quite a while
with the ordering of the content on their pages. Next point of business,
relisting everything in a descending chronological order. The further
down you go, the farther back in the development of my skills. GEOLOGIST
STYLE, BICCHIZ!!!
January 21 Gahdamn.
Trying to Frash on the new Notebook of Power is like trying to Frash with
mittens on, I swear. I miss my Wacom tabret and maus.
www.TerribleHands.com
is now up. As far as an actual opening date goes, I'm not sure. Maybe
2|14.
January 3 Damn!
I take a break in the middle of packing, and what is it I see? M'man from
DCTP and CastleVania WorldWide's platinum days, Mike Erickson's got a
sweet ParoVadius fanart for you and me! Well, mostly me, ROR. An emergency
update was called for, since it needs to be seen. Check
it.
January 1 Akemashite
omedetou, and a Happy New Year to you all. Here's to another fresh
(frash?) 365-page chapter of dynamism.
The URL for DYNAKYRIS has changed, from www.clockworkmansion.com/ericroman/detc/
to the more logical www.clockworkmansion.com/ericroman/dyna/.
Update your bookmarks, links, and thensome. For those reading this in
July, the redirect was here,
the former spot.
December 17 A
new DYNAKYRIS feature, check out The
Terrible Digital Radio Show, starring J&E! Additions will be noted
on the sidemenu, rather than the Notebook.
October 16 These
very keen little buttons are now available on the main page for your linking
pleasure.
October 8 More
goods have been added to HOMAGE, including Bastard
Child of ParoVadius, practically the reason why the section exists;
to host it.
Damn,
I think I know why my wrists were hurting so much in September of 2001...I
was playing Twinklestar Sprites!!! You have no idea how serious
that game is...
October 4 Another
artwork added to the HOMAGE section.
October 3 Ralphy's
silly ParoVadius Prequel is now featured in the HOMAGE
section.
Being
sick is so fun not.
October 2 Logo
problem finally fixed, thank Babs. HOMAGE, a section dedicated to all the treats
I've received from friends and fans throughout the years, is now open.
If I think of a less arrogant-sounding name for the section, I'll make
the changes.
Having
a cold is so fun not.
September 25 I've
yet to fix the painful GA problem, but I actually started writing entries
and compiling contents for the fan art section. I'm having trouble figuring
out a proper name for it, though.
Natsu
ga owari da.
September 16 The
other night, I realized that the kana on the twitchy DYNAKYRIS logo read
"DAINAGAIRISU". The "
on KA, which change the sound to GA,
don't belong there. Two months and I notice it now. How embarrassing.
I'll try to fix that this weekend.
I suppose the idea of a fan section is history, too.
Also,
RENT Reign of Fire, or borrow it like I did. Don't buy
it. Extremely potent premise, excellent sets and graphics,
but the film is seriously flawed in areas such as the LACK of dragons
and helicopters. It totally isn't the movie of its trailer and poster.
July 17 Added
a nice new banner and changed some colors in the ANI-DRAW
section. Bastard Child of ParoVadius will be hosted here (under
some type of fan-submission section) as soon as Valz wraps it up.
July 10, 200V Changed
up that front logo.
Two pieces of art added to the GROUNDWORK section
include the original storyboard for One
of THOSE Days... and concepts for Rob Foor's character, Ned. <~Better
late than never.
July 9, 200V I
just fixed the GROUNDWORK section a little bit.
I actually added the storyboard for Zelfmoord' (though it was packed with
FREE PREVIEW), and the once prominent
section dedicated to NEMESIS has been moved there,
too.
Ironic,
ne? NEMESIS was designed to make you forget about ParoVadius
2002.
July 2, 200V ParoVadius
RESET has been added. Many thanks to Jon Rojas, Matt Tiso and Jason
Gaines. The original CREDITS scene will be added another day.
June 30, 200V
Okay, so I've
taken Frash 5 to its limits. As a result of serial experiments (I RIKE
LAIN!), it has been determined that Parori tortures Frash's frame limit,
in effect freezing the scrolling CREDITS scene, one of the last in the
.FLA's scene index, partway through.
Adjustments
will have to be made in the CREDITS domain. I fear I may have to fold
and go with the inert crediting format of ParoVadius '02, rather than
the CastleVania III Prelude-style that I had perfected with RESET. Should
it come to it, I will feature the animated CREDITS seperately on the site.
...and
Contra III: The Alien Wars is simply the
manliest videogame in all of history. I'm sayin'. Back when Duke,
Wolfenstein, and Sam still had mommy's nipple stuck in their teeth, the
boys of Contra III were wrecking ass and taking
names. NO MERCY. That's it, and that's all.
June 26, 200V
Three years of work
finally come to a close.
Though not without
a host of problems. Aside from the fact that I never had working speakers
when dropping in the soundtrack (I had to use headphones or my stereo
system along with Windows' damaged Volume Control program)...
...whenever I try
to publish the final movie to SWF format, Frash crashes or freezes. Last
night I was trying to unsuccessfully publish when Valfire Modulator suspected
that Parori's 19000+ frame count had something to do with it.
To test the theory, I deleted the
(nearly 4000 frame) Deleted Scenes and published to success. Thus, the
Deleted Scenes feature has been trashed from the OPTIONS menu. However,
the soundtrack was not complete last night. It is now, but when I try
to render the movie out to SWF, freeze city.
Another mysterious problem is that
playback of the CREDITS scene freezes partway through, though the Streamed
background music continues. Quality and GoTo cues exist in that scene,
but no "Halt the scrolling, continue the Streamed BGM" cue.
Streaming a sound naturally forces playback to commence in tandem with
with the sound, so this is a REAL brainbuster. Have I taken Frash to its
limits with ParoVadius RESET?
Release date: Whenever this
problem is solved, 200V.
Release place: DYNAKYRIS.
June 17, 200V Wanted: One mature young woman to lend her voice
to the production of
Sexy ParoVadius. Contact if
interested.
May 15, 200V
has been cancelled. Don't
come looking for me.
April 21, 200V Raise a chalice! Another weekend is approaching from the north!
& if'n you don't appreciate the significance of that, you're probably
out of school or still unemployed.
...which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Happy 3rd Anni to ParoVania, originally commenced April 20th, 2002.
April 15, 200V Two donations to the JUNKYARD from last week.
I thought it'd be a good time to create a new banner from scratch, too.
Parorise may be delayed. The last announcement was made back when I didn't
have a job that left me exhausted by days' end.
April 2, 200V ParoVadius
RESET is now undergoing post-production!
No joke! That's what
yesterday was for.
All that remains to
be added in are as follows;
-Credits
-Soundtrack (BGM, sound effects, and voices)
-Frontend (Preloader/Title Screen)
-(ro)Rearend (Key Storyboards, Voice Actress Comments, Unused Sequences,
etc.)
In short, look for
Parorise ()
at some point this month between the 10th the 20th; the third anniversary
of ParoVadius '02's conception.
March 27th, 200V The project is ParoVadius RESET, and production is
nearly complete.
Look for it here first,
and probably only, because the movie's size will no doubt go over the
cap of most popular Frash venues. And anyway, this project was never about
getting it to those venues in the first place. This was for the love of
the art.
Here are a few screenshots.
I hope I'm not giving
away too much. Check out the original ParoVadius.
March 8th, 200V A special announcement about ParoVadius awaits in the lazily titled
News
section of the BBS. Take a look.
January 10th, 200V The new forum has been added, with an assist from John Faraone.
It's so new, it's still being
configured. Sign up and try it.
Since it's been the
case that I usually post Frash stuff on boards before they make it to
the site, hint hint...
January 8th, 200V Happy weekend!
The following complete the BETA section for now:
August 6th 2003~June
1st 2004.
Lastly, three Slogra sketches have been added to the ANIMATED
DRAWINGS collection.
It was actually
the 4th of July update last year that was supposed give you the
contents of these previous two updates in one shot; 25 JUNKs, 5 BETAs,
3 ANI-DRAWINGS, and a CastleVania III cartridge in a game sleeve.
Okay, I added that
last one only because The Holidays passed.
Here's your game,
anyway:
January 6th, 200V Welcome back.
The following junkbits have been added to the JUNKYARD:
The dates of the additions range
from October 18th 2001 to July 4th 2003, so I'm almost current with everything.
This site may have its own, non-EZBoard forum soon.
Finally, a word to the wise to anyone who works on anything: Make it a
habit of pressing CTRL+S with every big change or few. It'll save you
alot of loss and frustration. V!
January 3rd, 200V Akemashite omedetou-gozaimasu, everyone!
September 2004's After
ParoVadius has been added.
I'm wondering why the beloved <BR> tag is listed under the Character
group in Dreamweaver MX...in Dreamweaver 3 it's on the main list.
My second, and by far oldest site, CastleVania
III Dracula's Curse THE PAGE!!! has also recently returned, so take
a look if you're a fan of YE OLDE SKOOL Nintendo gaming!
Hit counting now provided by Statcounter.

August 25th, 2004 After I was settled with FWOOPY!, my animation drive continued. Three
days later, a new short, entitled FREE
PREVIEW is completed!
August 20th, 2004 I'm very pleased to have completed something after such a long dry
spell. I blame Rob Foor.
:] Check out the newest, FWOOPY!
To showcase a variety
of my other work, I registered a DeviantART account on 7|15. Check
it out.
June 6, 2004 #2 At last, it has arrived.
Another section I've
been working on for over a year, JUNKYARD, is
finally up. There you can check out lots of REALLY old stuff from the
time I was relearning Flash4/5, as well as time-killing distractions.
The other two SWF sections have been revised, and Skull Cannon
has been added to FINISHED.
June 6, 2004 The pacing of the banner is better, especially since the DETC logo
has been knocked out of it. The logo's now on the main page as a rescalable
SWF. Gotta love that about vector graphics. With less being shown in the
above bannermation, movies run a spot smoother, as well.
Stop by the newest section,
ANIMATED DRAWINGS!
Finally, I must point
out the latest affiliate, my man NED-RICK the NINJAAAAAAA!!!
He taught me the basics of Flash before I taught myself the rest. Check
out Ned's EXCELLENCE @ 1BLAZE
STUDIO! ARBEZ 4LIFE.
June 3, 2004 Worked out a new idea for the banner. Dyna's skin is a bitmap, now,
but it needs to look more metallic.
June 2, 2004 Einhander BGM.
May 31, 2004 The bloody NAVI menu has been temporarily taken out of commission
until I can work up something new.
I've added the BETA and CONTACT
sections, at long last.
Hi to Kev, for shouting
out my new location.
May 26, 2004 Now that I'm free of certain obligations, I can water this place s'more.
Glad for that.
Split the update notes from the main page to this here notebook.
I attempted to replicate a very creepy character from a keychain;
...you like?
Let's see how the Gradius III music works out.

October 26, 2003 You are now listening to Dream Theater. You should listen to more
Dream Theater. Oh, and by the way, Jason helped me figure out the new
music icon. You like? The previous one, which intended to resemble a music
note block from Super Mario Bros. 3 looked a bit irrelevant after all
those months.
I can't beleive I wrote to
the BETA section. It's almost ready to go up.
I was working on THE END OF PEANUTBUTTERJELLYTIME but that started to
piss me off because the sound kept desyncing. Greeeh.
October 21, 2003 Enjoy reading a variety of interesting behind the scenes (and behind
the flames) things in the new, experimental board for DETC.
Watch out for falling ads.
October 14, 2003
This period's loop is from Block 3-02 of Super CastleVania IV; the calm
but deadly waterfalls area.
I'm glad to have completed 3 new loops over the holiday: a hip hop beat
from Tony Touch and the themes for the falls and Slogra's room from Super
CastleVania IV. They'll be tossed in randomly whenever I get the breather.
Of the 10 background music loops I've put together for the site thus far,
I've only used 2: the theme from CastleVania 64 and "Demo 1"
from CastleVania II; Belmont's Revenge, and I've had to plug them in manually.
If I could randomize them, I would...
I was thinking about hosting the DETC forum at ad-scathed CVinteractive,
but I'm not sure yet. Texas Mafia
is down for the 2nd or 3rd time this week. It's only Tuesday.
October
13, 2003; GROUNDWORK
is now functional!
Take a look at some pretty/messy pictures.
Music changed to CastleVania II Belmont's Revenge tune.
The NEMESIS page also works again, sans
all but 1 character sprites.
Changed the banner a bit, too.
Oh, and since this
site is about the ETCs of DYNAKYRIS,
it's necessary
to place the apostrophe to the end of the s-ending, name. Just so you
know.
